Efectto Quartz Super Grain is a ready-to-use microcement with a coarse aggregate that acts as a base coat within the continuous decorative system Efectto Quartz. It is designed to create resistant, textured, and high-performance surfaces on floors and walls, especially in high-traffic areas.
Its single-component paste formula eliminates mixing errors, reduces preparation time, and ensures consistent finishes.

Substrate preparation:
- The substrate must be clean, dry, consolidated, and free of dust or grease.
- Apply the appropriate primer depending on the type of surface:
- Absorbent substrates: use Primacem ABS.
- Non-absorbent substrates: use Primacem Plus.
- Metal or glass surfaces: apply Primacem Grip.

Product application:
- Stir the contents of the container until a homogeneous paste is obtained.
- Apply 2 coats of Efectto Quartz Super Grain with a steel trowel, allowing at least 4 hours drying time between coats.
- Sand with 24-40 grit after each coat.

Finishing:
- After applying and sanding the Super Grain coats, apply the finishing microcement (such as Medium or Small Grain).
- Finish the system with 2 coats of varnish Topsealer WT One Coat, allowing 24 hours to dry between each coat.

What is Efectto?
It is a range of ready-to-use paste microcements for creating continuous, joint-free coatings on floors and walls. No mixing with water or resin is needed, which saves time and avoids dosing errors.
What is the difference between Efectto Quartz and Efectto PU?
Efectto Quartz is applied directly as it comes out of the container. Efectto PU is two-component: the microcement (component A) is mixed with Efectto PU B Component, a polyurethane hardener that improves hardness, waterproofing and wear resistance.
Which grain size should I choose?
It depends on the texture you want: coarse grain (Big Grain) gives a highly textured, rustic or industrial-style finish; medium (Medium Grain) balances texture and smoothness; and fine (Small Grain) gives a smooth, uniform finish, ideal as a top coat.
Can it be applied outdoors?
Yes, the Efectto range is designed for horizontal and vertical surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.
How is it applied and what do I need to prepare beforehand?
The substrate must be firm, clean and dry, and primed with Primacem ABS (absorbent) or Primacem Plus (non-absorbent). Then the product is homogenised and 1 or 2 coats are applied with a trowel, sanding between coats depending on the desired finish.
Does it need to be sealed when finished?
Yes, the system is finished with two coats of polyurethane varnish: Topsealer WT One Coat on Efectto Quartz and Topsealer WT All in One on Efectto PU, which provide water and wear resistance.
