System

How the system is applied

  1. 1 Preparation

Clean, dry substrate free of dust, grease or loose particles. Sand or mill if needed. Never over standing water.

  2. 2 Mix A+B

Mix Component A with Component B of the same reference, using a mechanical mixer at low speed, until smooth.

    Primapox® 100 BARRIER Component B 1.9Kg ADR
  3. 3 Application

BARRIER with a roller, notched trowel or spatula, in 2 coats (the second once the first is touch-dry). FLUID in a thin coat with a roller or brush.

    Component A Primapox® 100 BARRIER 3.1Kg LQ
  4. 4 Coating

Once dry, continue with microcement, XtremeFloor self-leveller, Efectto Quartz or Topsealer varnish, depending on the system.

Frequently asked questions about Primapox

What is Primapox?
Primapox is a range of solvent-free, two-component epoxy primers applied before decorative coatings such as microcement or self-levelling compounds, to improve adhesion and system performance.
What is the difference between Primapox 100 BARRIER and Primapox 100 FLUID?
BARRIER acts as a vapour barrier on cementitious substrates, protecting against rising or residual moisture. FLUID is a low-viscosity consolidating primer for low- or non-porous substrates, such as polished concrete, ceramic or natural stone.
Do I need to buy both Component A and Component B?
Yes. Primapox is two-component: Component A (resin) must be mixed with its Component B (hardener) of the same reference, using a mechanical stirrer at low speed, until you get a homogeneous mix.
How is it applied?
On a clean, dry substrate free of grease and loose particles. BARRIER is applied with a roller, notched trowel or spatula, and 2 coats are recommended, the second once the first is touch dry. FLUID is applied in a thin, even coat with a roller or brush. Do not apply on substrates with surface water.
Which products is it compatible with?
Primapox 100 FLUID works as an adhesion bridge for Topsealer polyurethane varnishes, epoxy resins and Acricem acrylic resins; once dry, you can apply products such as Efectto Quartz, Sttandard Microbase or Evoluttion Microfino. BARRIER is used before microcements or self-levelling compounds.
