Frequently asked questions about Atlanttic

What is Atlanttic Aquaciment and where is it used?
It is a two-component microcement formulated for swimming pools (edges, coping and basin) and other surfaces in contact with water, such as fountains, ponds, spas, terraces, walls and façades. It creates a continuous, joint-free coating with a non-slip texture.
Which products make up the system?
Atlanttic Aquaciment XXL is the preparation microcement and Atlanttic Aquaciment XL is the finishing one. Both are mixed with Acricem Pool resin as component B and protected with Topsealer WT Pool sealer.
What substrate can it be applied on?
On sprayed or gunited concrete and reinforced concrete formwork that is clean, consolidated and well levelled. It is not a waterproofing mortar and must never be applied over other microcements, glass mosaic tiles, tile adhesives, waterproof mortars or paints.
How is it applied?
Prime with Acricem Pool, apply two coats of Aquaciment XXL, prime again with Acricem Pool and apply two coats of Aquaciment XL, letting each coat dry in between. After 24 hours, apply one coat of Topsealer WT Pool. A total thickness of 3 to 5 mm is recommended.
When can I fill the pool?
After applying Topsealer WT Pool, let it dry for 7 days to reach maximum performance and avoid contact with water before then, as marks could appear. Stop the application if rain is forecast.
What colours and maintenance does it have?
Atlanttic Aquaciment must be applied in white or natural white (unpigmented), and a waterline inherent to the system appears. We recommend cleaning with pressure water and renewing the last coat of Topsealer WT Pool every 1-2 years, sanding the surface beforehand.
