Its superior grain size formulation allows it to be applied in a base layer of up to 1 mm, ideal for continuous flooring that requires decorative finishes with a natural texture. Time between coats
- Level and consolidate the substrate, ensuring it is completely clean and free of dust or grease.
- Apply appropriate primer according to the substrate: Primacem ABS on absorbent surfaces or Primacem PLUS on non-absorbent surfaces. Fill joints with Primacem Joint if applicable.
- Homogenize the product with a mechanical or manual stirrer before use.
- Spread the microcement with a polyester or polycarbonate trowel in a uniform layer of up to 1 mm.
- Allow to dry between coats for 4–8 h; apply two coats to ensure aesthetic continuity.
- Sand with appropriate grit according to grain size before applying the final coat.

What is Efectto?
It is a range of ready-to-use paste microcements for creating continuous, joint-free coatings on floors and walls. No mixing with water or resin is needed, which saves time and avoids dosing errors.
What is the difference between Efectto Quartz and Efectto PU?
Efectto Quartz is applied directly as it comes out of the container. Efectto PU is two-component: the microcement (component A) is mixed with Efectto PU B Component, a polyurethane hardener that improves hardness, waterproofing and wear resistance.
Which grain size should I choose?
It depends on the texture you want: coarse grain (Big Grain) gives a highly textured, rustic or industrial-style finish; medium (Medium Grain) balances texture and smoothness; and fine (Small Grain) gives a smooth, uniform finish, ideal as a top coat.
Can it be applied outdoors?
Yes, the Efectto range is designed for horizontal and vertical surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.
How is it applied and what do I need to prepare beforehand?
The substrate must be firm, clean and dry, and primed with Primacem ABS (absorbent) or Primacem Plus (non-absorbent). Then the product is homogenised and 1 or 2 coats are applied with a trowel, sanding between coats depending on the desired finish.
Does it need to be sealed when finished?
Yes, the system is finished with two coats of polyurethane varnish: Topsealer WT One Coat on Efectto Quartz and Topsealer WT All in One on Efectto PU, which provide water and wear resistance.
