Acricem 5L

Acricem is a water-based acrylic resin (component B) that acts as a binder in the preparation of Topciment two-component microcements: Sttandard, Natture and Atlanttic. Its main function is to improve the workability, adhesion, impermeability and mechanical resistance of the microcement once dry. In addition, it can be used as a primer to stabilize mineral substrates and ensure a good application base. It is a product free of solvents, plasticizers and ammonia, totally compatible with demanding environments.

Main characteristics

1. Improves the internal cohesion of the mortar and the flexibility of the coating.
2. Increases the impermeability of the microcement and its mechanical resistance.
3. Reduces the risk of cracking due to shrinkage.
4. Also works as a primer on cementitious substrates.
5. Water-based product, solvent-free and easy to apply.

How to use

As microcement component B:

1. Pour the corresponding amount of Acricem resin into a clean container.
2. Add the pigment according to the desired proportion, mixing until a homogeneous color is obtained.
3. Then, gradually add component A (powdered microcement) while mixing with a low-speed mixer.
4. Knead for at least 4 minutes until a dense, homogeneous mass without lumps is obtained.
5. Let the mixture rest for a few minutes before applying.

As a primer on the substrate:

1. The substrate must be clean, dry, stable, free of grease, oil or dust.
2. Apply a thin and uniform layer of Acricem directly with a roller, brush or sprayer.
3. Let dry between 30 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours before applying the microcement.
4. Do not apply if humidity or rain is expected before the product is completely dry.

Performance

• As a primer: ≈ 0.10 L/m², depending on the porosity of the substrate.
• As component B: depends on the type and amount of microcement to be mixed.

Storage conditions

Store in its original closed container, protected from humidity and direct sunlight. The temperature must be between 10 °C and 30 °C. Shelf life of 12 months from the manufacturing date.
