Efectto PU B Component is the two-component aliphatic polyurethane hardener that combines with the ready-to-use microcements from the Efectto Quartz range. Designed to significantly improve the mechanical and chemical performance of the system, this B component is mixed with component A to obtain a more resistant, stable, and durable coating.
It is essential for achieving optimal adhesion, reducing water absorption, and increasing wear resistance, offering a professional finish on all types of decorative surfaces.

Mixing
- Stir the microcement component A (PU) until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Add the Efectto PU B Component in a 10:1 ratio (A:B) and mix for 2 minutes with a low-speed mixer.

Application
- Apply the product in two coats on a prepared and primed substrate.
- Sand between coats if necessary.
- Finish the system by sealing with varnishes such as Topsealer WT All in One.

What is Efectto?
It is a range of ready-to-use paste microcements for creating continuous, joint-free coatings on floors and walls. No mixing with water or resin is needed, which saves time and avoids dosing errors.
What is the difference between Efectto Quartz and Efectto PU?
Efectto Quartz is applied directly as it comes out of the container. Efectto PU is two-component: the microcement (component A) is mixed with Efectto PU B Component, a polyurethane hardener that improves hardness, waterproofing and wear resistance.
Which grain size should I choose?
It depends on the texture you want: coarse grain (Big Grain) gives a highly textured, rustic or industrial-style finish; medium (Medium Grain) balances texture and smoothness; and fine (Small Grain) gives a smooth, uniform finish, ideal as a top coat.
Can it be applied outdoors?
Yes, the Efectto range is designed for horizontal and vertical surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.
How is it applied and what do I need to prepare beforehand?
The substrate must be firm, clean and dry, and primed with Primacem ABS (absorbent) or Primacem Plus (non-absorbent). Then the product is homogenised and 1 or 2 coats are applied with a trowel, sanding between coats depending on the desired finish.
Does it need to be sealed when finished?
Yes, the system is finished with two coats of polyurethane varnish: Topsealer WT One Coat on Efectto Quartz and Topsealer WT All in One on Efectto PU, which provide water and wear resistance.
